Citation Atlas is a research-discovery beta operated by Dinner Plate Creative LLC, Colorado, United States. These Terms describe the conditions for using this site. Use the service in accordance with these Terms and applicable law. If you do not agree, do not use it. Questions can be sent through Contact Us.
Access and accounts
Public pages and researcher discovery can be used without sign-in. Citation maps, Saved Explorations, Saved Papers and other account features require Google sign-in. Your use of Google and the hosting platform is also subject to their applicable terms. Keep your account secure and use only accounts you are authorized to access. Searching for a researcher does not claim their identity or verify your affiliation.
Access, usage allowances and available features may change during the beta. Source-provider limits, maintenance or errors may interrupt service. We may restrict access to address misuse, security problems or service capacity. You can stop using the site at any time; logging out is separate from requesting data removal.
Use research results with care
Citation Atlas helps you discover and navigate indexed literature. It is not an exhaustive literature search, a peer-review judgment or a ranking of researchers. Publication lists, author matching, affiliations, dates, abstracts, classifications and citation counts may contain errors or omissions and may lag behind original sources.
A citation link does not establish agreement, influence, research quality, expertise, independence or suitability for a role. Filters apply to the loaded data, and examples are dated snapshots. Check the original sources and use your own research judgment before relying on a result. Do not use citation counts or network proximity alone to make decisions about people.
Your saved content and third-party material
You retain any rights you have in the notes and other content you submit. By saving content or sending feedback, you permit us to store, display to you and process it as needed to operate the requested features, provide support and review feedback, as described in the Privacy Policy. This does not transfer ownership of your content to us.
Submit only information you have the right to share for those purposes. Do not include passwords, sensitive personal information or confidential manuscripts or research in notes or feedback. Account records are separated between users, but the service is not a confidential document vault.
Authors, publishers, data providers and other rights holders retain their rights in third-party material. A link, abstract or citation record does not give you permission to reproduce a full paper or bypass a paywall. Check the original source’s license and terms before reusing material. Links do not imply endorsement.
Responsible use
Do not attempt to access another user’s records, impersonate another person, submit malicious code or spam, evade authentication or usage limits, or disrupt the service or its data providers. Contact us if you find a suspected security problem; avoid exposing other people’s information while reporting it.
Current pricing and availability
No checkout or paid subscription is enabled in this beta, and the site does not take payment. Prices displayed on the pricing page are proposals. A group or site-license inquiry creates no purchase, license or payment obligation. Any future paid offer will need separate pricing, billing and cancellation information before a purchase.
We do not promise uninterrupted availability, complete or error-free data, a particular preparation time, permanent storage, or that a beta feature will remain available. Keep a separate copy of important notes and references. These statements do not exclude rights or protections that applicable law does not allow us to exclude.
Privacy, help and changes
The Privacy Policy explains collection, operator/provider access, browser storage, retention and removal requests. Removing a saved item, revoking access and deleting broader account data are different actions. A contact request is reviewed manually and does not immediately delete data.
We may update these Terms as the service develops. The date on this page identifies the current version. We will provide any additional notice or agreement process required by applicable law; posting a change does not replace a consent step where one is required.
